PORTALE INTERMEDIARI
The Portale Intermediari (Intermediary Portal) enables intermediaries to use advanced tools for the sale and management of modern investment products, with the aim of delivering added value
Immediacy and simplicity
All the most important information is presented concisely and effectively on a single “vertical” view, maintaining an overview without overwhelming the User with information.
The use of the latest best practices in terms of user experience allows for an even more modern and appealing way to access the information
Sales and post-sales tool
The portal was conceived as a support tool for the financial consultant, allowing them to consult both portfolio and market information within a single solution that facilitates communication with the client and day-by-day operations.
It is possible to integrate the advisory component with the disposal components necessary to process transactions without the need to re-enter data on core and/or legacy systems
“Seamless” integrations
The portal presents information coming from the Company’s various Systems (e.g., Portfolio, Fund Master Data, etc.) along with information from external partners (e.g., Morningstar).
The scalability conferred by the cloud-native solution allows for massive data ingestion in near real-time.
Non-intrusive depth
It is possible to access detailed information through specific modal windows that do not oblige the User to change the page, thereby losing sight of the policy.
The possibility of performing a drill-down to granular data allows for an increase in the user’s “trust” in the presented data.
Technologically cutting-edge
The tool is developed with the latest enterprise-grade BI and Front-End technologies to guarantee a modern and functional look&feel.
Multi-dimensional data analysis provides an innovative and differentiating user experience.
Platform overview
The multi-asset application, entirely cloud-based, displays real portfolios and their relative simulations using non-intrusive depth.
Simplified integration and the use of Morningstar’s advanced tools provide complete decision-making and communication support for investors.

User-centric approach
We analyzed the intermediaries’ journeys to make important information available on a few pages, easily viewable at a “glance” with the possibility of performing a specific drill-down.

Each intermediary has independent access to all portal pages, and the possibility to both consult the existing history and perform operative transactions on their client portfolio. Multi-level profiling allows for the management of Agents, Directors, Area Managers, and Central Management by segregating access to the correlated client portfolio. Each area is easily reachable from the initial dashboard, thanks to a hierarchical content visualization.
The Portal, with its ability to process ‘drill-down’ of raw financial data in real time, is a unique tool on the market.
The multimedia representation of the correlation between financial data and portfolio allows the subscriber to perceive having total control of the portfolio. All of this is achieved using a simple infrastructure that provides Big Data results in a User-friendly and non-intrusive way.
The Portal is a tool that can be used for both sales and post-sales where the financial consultant can consult both portfolio information and market information within a single solution that improves communication with the client and facilitates day-by-day operations.
Platform Customization – The insurance products provided by the platform include Branch I, Branch III, Multi-branch with underlying segregated funds, internal funds, and external funds. The portal is designed to consolidate information from the Company’s various systems (e.g., Portfolio, Fund Master Data, etc.) with information from external partners (e.g., Morningstar). The data feed process is specific to the Company’s Portfolio system.
Technologically cutting-edge and fully responsive – The tool is developed with the latest enterprise-grade Front-End technologies (Angular) to guarantee a modern and functional look&feel with attention to responsiveness on all major devices (the tool is indicated for PCs, Notebooks, and Tablets but can also be used on Smartphones).
Compliant & Resilient – The portal is entirely hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and provided to the Company as a SaaS solution. Through the use of highly secure Cloud services, the application of AWS Well Architected best practices, and compliant corporate processes with ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certifications, the platform is secure and compliant with the latest Cybersecurity requirements. Thanks to the use of redundant Cloud Native components across multiple data centers, the platform is highly reliable and resilient in the event of infrastructural and connectivity failures.

Home and Dashboard
Upon startup, the user lands on their “Home” page, where the following are present:
- Company Logo and header;
- Navigation menu with selectable items (e.g., Investments, Products);
- Information elements (clients, number of policies, total premiums paid, counter value in euros, counter value trend %);
- Detail sections (featured products, portfolio list);
The data concerns the portfolio of the User connected to the portal: a many-to-many mapping is foreseen where multiple Users will have access to the same policies according to the partner’s needs. Depending on the Company’s needs, this mode can be fully utilized or simplified, some examples:
- Bank branch operator will see the policies under their management;
- Bank Backoffice and Company Management will see the entire portfolio of all branches;
Data regarding the counter value trend, total counter value, and premiums paid provide an immediate summary view of the trend by aggregating all portfolios viewable by the User connected to the Portal.

Policy Detail
All “typical” portfolio information is reported in an immediate and concise form to improve readability;
- It is possible to insert “help” boxes that describe the meaning of the specific field to the User according to the Company’s conventions, in order to increase the intermediary’s confidence in the tool and reduce reported issues;
- It is possible to print the detailed policy information (via the functional icon (printer symbol)).
- The insured’s personal details are accessible.

Funds
All underlying assets (Internal Funds, External Funds, and Segregated Funds) in which investments are present are presented clearly and concisely;
The portal manages internal funds and segregated funds by receiving information on them and their underlying assets from the Company: since this data is not publicly available, integration with Morningstar services is not foreseen.
The performance calculated using the Money Weighted Rate of Return (MWRR) algorithm, weighing investments and disinvestments over time, is available for each fund. It is possible to use different calculation algorithms to conform to the Company’s standards such as TWRR and Immediate Performance. Furthermore, subject to feasibility verification, it is possible to customize the calculation algorithm according to the market standards adopted by the Company.
Integration with the Morningstar portal is foreseen in the following ways:
- Detail of the single fund (by clicking on the row);
- “X-ray” portfolio of the specific policy with the funds weighted according to the current investment (by clicking on the appropriate button).
Portfolio Analysis
Portfolio analysis with a ‘butterfly effect’
This section contains the core of the portal. We imagined presenting all the most significant portfolio data interactively, so that the ‘butterfly effect’ could be applied to all the graphical elements.
When a single element changes, the entire section is redesigned within moments, synchronising all the graphs with the key data.
Breakdown of the portfolio by macro investment category (data at the Company’s discretion).
Breakdown by Morningstar categories (data retrieved from the Morningstar portal).
Breakdown of investments by management company (data at the Company’s discretion).
A clear graph is provided that can be filtered by time. This allows you to compare the total premiums paid (subscriptions, additional payments, redemptions, etc.) with the current value of the policy.
This representation provides users with clear, immediate visual feedback on policy performance.
You can select any point on the graph to view financial details and the reference date. Thanks to the time tabs at the top, the graph can be viewed for specific periods.
An easy-to-read chart is provided that can be filtered by time. It shows the performance of the entire policy, calculated using the Money Weighted Rate of Return (MWRR) algorithm. This algorithm weighs investments and divestments over time, avoiding immediate ‘peaks’ in the event of significant investments or divestments in the policy.
All the graphic components in the underlying details are linked together using a ‘multi-dimensional’ approach. This allows you to view and filter information by interacting with any of the components.
Synergies between the various graphic components can be activated in different ways simultaneously:
- For example, enabling the ‘Movements/Crises’ function allows you to superimpose information on the time series regarding movements made on the portfolio, as well as a series of indicators relating to the main macroeconomic crisis events;
- Interacting with the time scale causes all graphs to show information relating to the status of the policy during that period;
- Interacting with the list of underlying assets will display only the selected data, excluding the rest from all graphs;
- Interacting with the pie charts relating to categories and management companies allows you to filter the display based on one or more of them.
